So, Trillian is currently my IM app of choice on any and all platforms. I find the UI is really nice and not as unintuitive as some people claim (its a subjective thing at best anyway). I find the app is responsive and reliable, and I havent had any of e problems with lag or crashing that I saw some other people mentioning. I have some constructive criticisms though, and Ill spell them out here. 1. Lack of a Return key. In the mobile Trillian app, both on iPhone, and while running on iPad, there is no method to insert a new line into a message. Instead of a Return key, we have a Send key. Im not necessarily saying this is bad. But it would be great if the send key could be relocated, and a Return key left in its place, OR, perhaps an even better solution would be to allow some kind of "shift + enter" functionality for entering new lines like on the desktop version and in many other desktop IM applications. If youre sending a lot of thoughts to a friend, its nice to have a method of breaking them up. The ability to start a new paragraph without sending the previous one is kind of important. 2. Determining exactly when a message was sent. The Apple-esque relative time stamps that find their way into the conversation log are great. I really do love them. But there needs to be a way to determine exactly when a message was sent, to the second. This is also a functionality that I cant seem to fond on the desktop app either. Being able to mouse over and get a popup would be great. Im not sure how to translate that to mobile though. Perhaps some kind of floating label that pops up when you press and hold on a message, above or beneath the black context menu. I do still give this app 5 stars. It does deserve them. But there are improvements to be made, and if Cerulean wants to keep that rating, I hope it will strive to keep improving the app.

The only thing I dont like about this app is that in order to view your chat history, you must update to premium and pay. Other than that, its a good app.

Its great because you can merge all your accounts like man, Skype, Facebook ect to one.. Works awesome not complaints.

Does what I need it to, sends and receives pics quickly, and Ive never had a message-lag problem like with Skype. The video call features are awful and there its completely useless offline, which is why it is good to keep Skype around, but other than that, I prefer Trillian as an instant messaging client for sure. Its like MSN on steroids.

So far so good. Ive been using the PC version so to start the iOS was easy. All the setup from my PC were carried over (groups...).

Used in the past with success but after installing again it wont verify my yahoo account. Cannot connect to yahoo at all.

Trillian does exactly what it says on the box. It is fast, seamless and does not drop (after 3 weeks of daily use). I use it as a chat forum with several friends. We can attach screenshots, photos, whatever. I especially like that the chat room stays open, even when I close the iPad, so I can read back over what friends said while I was away. I dont miss a thing. Thanks !

Wont connect to Facebook chat and doesnt support Skype. Disappointing.

The new format is still beyond terrible.

The app needs fixing, it keeps crashing and wont send messages and then the app wont even open it log me in and its incredibly frustrating

When Im in chats with just one person, the app runs pretty well. If Im in a group chat for my AIM, it lags hardcore while I type a message. If I leave the app for longer than a minute, none of my chats load and I have to reset my device and the app a few times before itll load.

Latest update does not work with ios8 just crashes over and over

This app is in desperate need for an update. Its disappointing that this app has basically been abandoned

I can get text bleep sound when Trillian is in foreground, but never background. Buzz is silent from Yahoo

Have set up individual and group chats. Without warning previous chat history is mysteriously deleted with no way of getting back. In addition, the app has to be open in the background in order to receive notifications of messages received this draining data/battery power.

Since the iOS 8 release this app is basically unusable due to a serious keyboard glitch. Sometimes it works in portrait orientation but often the keyboard and chat windows disappear. Landscape mode is unusable period. The developers are aware of it but so far no fix. They talk of a much improved iOS version with no estimated date of release. Id be happy if they could just quickly fix the current version that I pay for and cant really use. In the meantime, 1 star. Dare I buy the lifetime subscription currently on sale?

For AIM, IMs wont display in portrait orientation. In Landscape, the keyboards displays with missing keys. There is no way go distinguish which account you are sending/receiving from if you have more than one AIM. Many updates later, still the exact same issues. Oh, and Signing Out doesnt actually sign you out.

Why no camera ? I note 4 star :)
